Waterproof Eyeliner – Heroine Make
One of the things I like most about putting makeup is putting on some eyeliner. I really like how it emphasises the eyes but I have a bit of a problem. I have an involuntary habit of scratching my eyes sometimes. Then while scratching it, I’ll suddenly remember that i’m wearing eyeliner. After checking the mirror, I’ll see that it has already been smudged or erased. So when I heard that there are waterproof and smudge proof eyeliners in Japan, I knew I just had to get one for myself.
Upon entering a typical japanese drug store, I noticed that the shelves are swamped with products. They are properly organized by type but there are just so many to choose from. Makeup shopping in Japan can be so confusing because of one, the language barrier and 2, the amount of choices you are presented with. I spent a lot of time thinking what eyeliner I should get at that time but I decided to go with Heroine Make Waterproof Eyeliner.
How Waterproof is the Heroine Make Waterproof Eyeliner?
When you look at the package design of the Heroine Make Eyeliner, even if you don’t understand a single Japanese word, you’ll notice that the design says it all. It shows a girl, under the rain, sweating and crying. It also has a small illustration of a mermaid and a couple dancing on the side. It just means that this product promises that your eyeliner won’t be damaged or erased even if it rains, even if you cry, even if you dance or do any strenuous activities, even if you sweat and even if you go swimming and your whole body is submerged underwater.
How To Use The Heroine Make Waterproof Eyeliner
I tried it out immediately the day after I bought it. The cap is a twist to open type and doubles as a paint brush applicator and the bottom part holds the eyeliner liquid. If you are a pro at putting on liquid eyeliner then you won’t have a problem with this product. If not, you may want to practice a little bit before trying this on as it is really hard to remove. I suggest removing excess liquid on the brush before painting on your eyelids. Having too much liquid eyeliner on your brush may cause your eyeliner to be thick from the very beginning. It’s better to move your way from thin to the right amount of thickness. If you start with thick eyeliner, it will be hard to balance it because there’s no other way for it to go but just to become thicker and thicker.
How To Remove The Heroine Make Waterproof Eyeliner
After coming home from a tiring day of non-stop sightseeing, it was time to relax, enjoy a hot bath and rest. The only problem is, I didn’t know how to remove my eyeliner that night. The package says that putting hot water can erase the eyeliner so I tried putting hot water over my eyes and rubbing it with cotton. The hot water did more to hurt my eyes than to remove my eye makeup. My eyes were red from all the scrubbing I did that night. The next morning, I made sure to buy a proper eye makeup remover so I wouldn’t be faced with the same problem again. No ordinary soap or facial wash can remove this product so remember not to make the same mistake as I did. I bought the Shiseido Perfect Remover For Eye And Lip It was recommended to me by a saleslady in Donkihote. It worked the best for me than any other method including using facial oils which also needed a lot of eye scrubbing which will leave your eyes painful and swollen.
If you’re looking for a heavy duty eyeliner that won’t move no matter what, this is the product for you. For me, it’s better than the 24 hour tattoo line by K-Palette. This product lasted longer than any other eyeliner I’ve used before. It’s perfect for long events or parties which you know would include a lot of sweating or swimming. You don’t even have to avoid watching drama movies when you’re wearing the Heroine Make Waterproof Eyeliner. It’s the perfect worry-free eye makeup.
